What is there to see?
St. Thomas is uniquely positioned, straddling both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, which means that our dive sites offer divers an incredibly diverse amount of marine wildlife. You can dive alongside all your reef favorites such as angelfish, parrotfish, a variety of butterfly fish species, as well as morays, southern stingrays, snapper, lobster, banded coral shrimp and crabs, all living within a colorful coral backdrop. In addition, we have blacktip sharks, hawksbill turtles, green sea turtles, (we often make a stop at Turtle Cove for a snorkel on the way back to the dock), and eagle rays. If your join us during the right time of year, you might be able to expeience dolphins and humpback whales during their annual migration.
All that big stuff not your thing? The macro photography opportunities are endless, with yellow headed jawfish and blennies on a few of our favorite sites. Personnally, I'm still looking for the perfect shot of a banded coral shrimp, with no shortage of models.
Reefs not your thing, or looking for a little bit of adventure and history? Check out some of our wreck dive sites. Go back in time and dive among the remains of ships from the 1800s or check out the hulls of some more modern wrecks. Our wreck dive sites offer opportunities for the novice diver to the most advanced.
We love to night dive too, so come along and enjoy some of our favorite after dark sites, where you can see turtles bedding down for the night and stingrays gliding in from the dark to catch some needed rest in a protected cove. The bioluminescence can be so vivid as to remind you of an underwater fireworks show.
Come along and dive with us! The underwater world of St. Thomas awaits!
