Now that the continental United States has 'fallen back' the U.S. Virgin Islands time is now one hour later than the east coast since we are on Atlantic Standard Time and do not observe Daylight Savings Time. Some cruise ships observe Eastern Standard Time through the duration of the cruise instead of changing to local time so that the ship and the island are operating on different times while your ship is in port. When you are planning tours outside of the ship's Shore Excursions desk, it is important to know if you'll be observing local time or ship time to ensure that there is no miscommunication about when you will be available to book your tour.
We are happy to help you, as best we can, determine if we can accomodate based on the different clocks, but please be aware that such a difference does exist with some (but not all!) cruise ships that port here in St. Thomas.
