As a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center, St. Thomas Diving Club can train anyone from the first time diver through instructor and beyond.  Our staff of instructors have worked with hundreds of students and we pride ourselves on our ability to produce well-trained, happy, confident divers.  In addition to training recreational divers, we have also trained St. Thomas Rescue team members and we're active in the local community youth and regularly work wtih local Venture Scouts and school children in diving program in addition to Project AWARE programs that focus on helping the educate the local youth about the ecology and importance of the reefs that surround the island and play such an important role in the local economy.

    Non-Divers

Just because you're not a diver, or your friends aren't divers doesn't mean there is nothing for them to do with you while you're diving!  They can participate in a Discover Scuba program if they're interested in learning about scuba diving; we can work with them on water comfort and some basic snorkeling skills through a Discover Snorkeling program and there are specialties like Project AWARE Specialist, Project AWARE Coral Reef Conservation and Digital Underwater Photographer which are not just for scuba divers but anyone interested in furthering their knowlege and enjoyment of the ocean.  Another program that can be shared by divers and non-divers is the Emergency First Response course.  The training is a prerequisite for Rescue Diver and all professional level divers must be current within two years.
