Search and Recovery Diver Specialty

The phone rings and it's a friend of yours; they were out boating and he dropped his very expensive sunglasses in the water and remembered that you were a diver and wants you to come look for them. Would you know where to start? The Search and Recovery Diver specialty course is designed to give you techniques and practice locating and recovering items from the sunglasses your friend lost to boat engines to boats! You will start out on the beach talking about search patterns and fine-tuning your navigation skills before you conduct four dives looking for a variety of lost items. This is a great way to practice the navigation you learned during your navigation dive of your advanced open water course in addition to learning how to rig and deploy lift bags and conduct methodical searches for items large and small.

Requirements: Advanced Open Water or basic open water and Underwater Navigator Specialty, 12 years old or older
